Regardless of which side of the political spectrum is most comfortable for you, there are some points most of us can agree upon: • Justice, safety, regulation of commerce and maintenance of national infrastructure are important roles of a strong federal government. • Politicians have become increasingly partisan. • Our country has observed a dramatic increase in violence, including mass public shootings.
We encourage citizens to attend precinct caucuses Tuesday, Feb. 6. Precinct caucuses are where the process of choosing candidates for fall elections begins. A highlight of DFL caucuses this year will be to complete a preference ballot and vote for candidates for governor. People can go to their designated location, cast a ballot and leave if they wish, but are encouraged to stay and participate in this important part of our Minnesota democratic process.
