MAGIK THEATRE of San Antonio, Texas, will present a musical adaptation of the Rudyard Kipling children's classic, "The Jungle Book," at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 in the Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center's Historic Holmes Theatre.

The Northern Light Opera Company's production of "Fiddler on the Roof" will be staged at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1 and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2 at the Park Rapids Area High School auditorium. The audience will get a bonus presentation this weekend by Sharon and Allen Friedman of Park Rapids, who will talk about Jewish traditions. Hot pink fans and feather headresses at the ready, the Little Sisters of Hubbard are prepared for their Las Vegas-style debut. "Nunsensations" opens Wednesday, July 8 at Long Lake Theater. This musical comedy is a light spoof of Vegas revues and old-time vaudeville musical acts, with plenty of showgirl references and audience interaction.
