Warroad used a 44-9 advantage in shots on goal to shut out the Park Rapids-Menahga-Nevis-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley boys hockey team 4-0 Tuesday night.
Kobe Roth and Casey Anderson scored in the first period, Jared Bethune scored in the second period and Roth scored again in the third period as Warroad improved to 6-2-1 against Section 8A teams and 16-6-2 overall. The Warriors are rated No. 10 in this week's state Class A poll.
Goalie Cody Brumbaugh made 40 saves as the Panthers fell to 5-6-1 against section teams and 12-7-3 overall. The Panthers were shut out for only the second time this season.

Panthers defeat Greenway
Frank Moren and Luke Jaeger scored two goals apiece in leading the Panthers to a 6-1 win over Greenway last Saturday night at Walker.
Moren and Ian Johnson scored to give the Panthers a 2-0 lead after the first period before goals by Jaeger and Noah MacPherson made it 4-1 after the second period. Moren and Jaeger concluded the scoring in the third period.
Johnson and Jamie Stewart tallied three assists each while Connor Kennedy and MacPherson had two assists each. Brumbaugh finished with 19 saves as Greenway fell to 7-11.
