Led by season highs in three events, the Park Rapids-Nevis gymnastics team surpassed 100 points for the first time this season in a 148.775 to 103.55 loss to Detroit Lakes Friday night at the Area High School gym.
The Panthers’ best event was vault where Olivia Fischer’s 8.35, Katie Eischens’ 8.20, Lindsey Girtz’s 8.05 and Nikki Eischens’ 7.85 led to a season best of 32.45. Detroit Lakes’ Alexis Yliniemi led the way with a 9.625.
In floor exercise, the Panthers received a season high of 28.35 behind Katie Eischens’ 8.00, Fischer’s 7.20, Nikki Eischens’ 7.00 and Girtz’s 6.15. Emma Disse received a 9.70 to lead the Lakers.
Katie Eischens’ 6.90, Fischer’s 6.60, Girtz’s 6.40 and Nikki Eischens’ 6.10 gave the Panthers a 26.00 on balance beam. Cora Okeson had the top score of 9.40.
Park Rapids received a season best of 16.75 on uneven parallel bars with Fischer’s 4.80, Andrea Dudley’s 4.45, Girtz’s 4.00 and Arianne Warmbold’s 3.50 leading the way. Okeson’s 9.35 led the Lakers.

Kennedy Hegg claimed the all-around title with a 36.40. Fischer was second with a 26.95 and Girtz took third with a 24.60.
Detroit Lakes received marks of 38.20 in floor, 37.325 in vault, 36.85 on bars and 36.40 on beam. Park Rapids fell to 0-2 in dual meets.
Detroit Lakes also coasted to a 135.45 to 67.50 win over the Panthers in the junior varsity meet.
