Cromwell scored three unanswered touchdowns in the second half to seal a 32-13 9-man football victory at Nevis last Friday afternoon.

Jordan Suhonen scored on a 7-yard TD run in the first quarter and scored from 1 yard out in the second quarter to give Cromwell a 14-0 lead.

The Tigers ended the half with a 7-yard TD pass from Zach Anderson to Mitch Rehkamp. Sean Howes' kick cut the margin to 14-7.

Cromwell sealed the win on a 6-yard TD run by Dylan Mattson, Suhonen's 41-yard TD run and John Schiliauter's 3-yard TD run.

Nevis ended the scoring with a 33-yard pass from Anderson to Taylor Chase on the final play of the game.

The Tigers rushed for 139 yards with Dylan Stenberg gaining 73 yards on six carries. Nick Halfmann had 41 yards on eight carries.

Anderson completed 9 of 23 passes for 89 yards with Rehkamp catching four passes for 28 yards.

Defensively, Garrett Edelman and Halfmann had 13 tackles each while Rehkamp and Stenberg made 11 tackles each. Stenberg also had an interception and recovered a fumble.

"I thought we played with a lot of energy and desire," said Nevis head coach Shawn Klimek. "We were very competitive against a very good football team. I thought we were just a couple of plays away from making this game even closer."
