Ashley Pyburn pounded down 16 kills and Kia Heide added 10 kills in leading the Nevis volleyball team to a 3-0 win at Sebeka Monday night.

Makenna Frazier and Pyburn served two aces each as the Tigers went 69 for 74 in serves and had 44 kills with 15 hitting errors. Andrea Dudley tallied 31 set assists as the Tigers rolled to a 25-19, 25-23, 25-16 victory.

Sadie Thurner (18), Dudley (16), Frazier (14) and Maggie Carrier (13) combined for 61 of the team's 87 digs as the Tigers improved to 16-6.

Sebeka fell to 6-14.

Tigers top Hill City

Pyburn (14), Heide (10), Jessica Swanda (9) and Frazier (6) combined for 39 of the Tigers' 43 kills in a 3-0 win at Hill City on Oct. 11.

Thurner served five aces and Swanda served three aces as the Tigers went 68 for 73 in serves with 11 aces in the 25-13, 25-21, 25-18 win. Nevis had 43 kills and 14 hitting errors with Dudley tallying 34 set assists and 12 digs.

The loss dropped Hill City's record to 16-9.

Heide and Frazier tallied six kills each in leading Nevis to a 25-21, 25-11, 25-15 Northland Conference victory over Clearbrook-Gonvick Oct. 9 at the Tiger Arena.

Swanda and Pyburn added five kills each as the Tigers finished with 29 kills with 13 hitting errors. Nevis put 68 of 74 serves in play with Swanda and Pyburn serving two aces apiece. Dudley compiled 20 set assists.

Thurner (14), Dudley (8), Frazier (6), Pyburn (5) and Cora Umthun (4) combined for 37 digs while Swanda (4) and Cole Mastley (3) assisted on seven blocks.

The win gave Nevis a 5-1 record in conference matches while the Bears fell to 2-4 in the conference and 7-12 overall.
