Three members of the Park Rapids-Menahga-Nevis-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley boys hockey team received Mid-State Conference honors this season.
Junior forwards Jack Slagle and Alec Nordin and junior defenseman Brody Hagen were selected as all-conference honorable mention players by the five Mid-State coaches. Hagen had one assist, Nordin tallied two goals and three assists, and Slagle scored two goals as the Panthers went 1-7 against conference rivals. Nordin had a goal and two assists in a 5-3 loss to Prairie Centre, a power-play goal in a 10-3 loss to Northern Lakes, and an assist in a 7-1 loss to Northern Lakes. Slagle scored a goal in the 5-3 loss to Prairie Centre and scored a power-play goal in a 5-1 loss to Detroit Lakes. Hagen tallied an assist in the 10-3 loss to Northern Lakes.
Detroit Lakes won the conference title with a 7-1 record while Northern Lakes went 5-2-1, Prairie Centre finished at 4-4 and Wadena-Deer Creek posted a 2-5-1 record in Mid-State play.
Team awards went to senior goalie Ben Strandlie (Hobey Baker Character Award) and Hagen (Matt Spangler Award).
