Frazee used three big innings to sweep an 18-U fastpitch softball doubleheader at Park Rapids on Tuesday (June 18).

In the first game, Frazee followed a six-run second inning with a five-run third inning to spark a 14-2 four-inning victory. A five-run fourth inning rallied Frazee to an 8-4 victory in the second game for the sweep.

In the opener, Frazee took a 1-0 lead in the first before Park Rapids tied the game in the bottom of that inning when Shailyn Pachel led off with a walk, stole second and third, and scored on a throwing error.

Frazee led 12-1 in the third when Park Rapids used a one-out single by Mickey Clark and Abby Morris' RBI single to make it 12-2. Chloe Tretbar followed with a single, but Park Rapids left both runners on base. Those were the only three hits for Park Rapids in the game.

Allison Offerdahl pitched a complete game for Park Rapids.

In the second game, Park Rapids scored three runs in the third for a 4-3 lead before Frazee rallied in the fourth to complete the sweep.

Park Rapids scored a run in the first when Pachel led off with a single, moved to third on an error on Morris' bunt single, and scored on Tretbar's grounder.

After Frazee scored three times in the bottom of the first, Park Rapids scored three times in the third to take a 4-3 lead. Pachel led off with a walk, but was forced out at second on a grounder by Morris. After a single by Natalie Harvey, Morris was forced out at third on Clark's grounder. Tretbar walked to load the bases before Ellie Ulvin's two-run single scored Harvey and Clark. Tarynn Arola followed with an RBI single as Tretbar scored.

Pachel and Morris walked in the fourth to account for Park Rapids' other baserunners.

Tretbar pitched a complete game as Park Rapids fell to 0-4 on the season.

Park Rapids hosts Perham in a doubleheader on Tuesday (June 25) beginning at 5:30 p.m. Park Rapids plays Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal at Hawley on July 1 and plays at Waubun on July 9.
