Slowpitch Softball: Headwaters Softball League crowns champions

Spikes, JT Builders and Tretbar Construction topped the final regular season standings.

Spikes, JT Builders and Tretbar Construction capped off the Headwaters Softball League slowpitch season at Olson Fields by capturing titles.

Spikes closed out the 12-week regular season with a 21-3 record to win the Old Timers title. SWI was second in the eight-team league with an 18-6 record and RDO took third with a 17-7 record. Following were Sacrifice Fly (14-10), Hafner’s (12-12), Park Rapids Firemen (7-17), Park Rapids Ford (4-20) and Park Rapids Building Supply (3-21).

JT Builders compiled a 22-2 record to top the four-team Men’s League standings. Lamb Weston was the runner-up at 10-14 while Zorbaz/Pro West went 9-15 and Edward Jones finished at 7-17.

In the six-team Women’s League, Tretbar Construction finished with a 22-2 record to edge out Iron Horse’s 21-3 mark for the title. Paul’s Babes went 11-13, JT Builders finished at 8-16, and Up North Power and Bully Barn tied for fifth place with 5-19 marks.
