Tanner Schwartz scored the game-winner with 10 seconds to play as the Menahga boys basketball team defeated Verndale 50-48 in a Park Region Conference game last Friday night at Verndale.
Schwartz finished with a game-high 21 points and 15 rebounds while Levi Schwartz had 14 points. Austin Rudquist chipped in 13 rebounds, Austen Schwartz had five assists and Calvin Taylor dished out three assists as the Braves improved to 4-2 in conference games and 7-6 overall.
Dallas Ehrmantraut scored 17 points to lead the Pirates, who fell to 4-3 in the conference and 8-6 overall.
