Noah Ross and Dacotah Mittag had double-doubles in leading Wadena-Deer Creek to a 65-50 Park Region Conference win over the Menahga boys basketball team Friday night at Wadena.
Ross had 25 points and 11 rebounds while Mittag chipped in 14 points and 13 rebounds as the Wolverines improved to 6-5 in the conference and 10-9 overall. Jonathan Pantages also hit double figures with 11 points for W-DC, which led 29-28 at break before outscoring the Braves 36-22 in the second half.
Damon Howard scored 12 points for the Braves, who fell to 5-6 in conference play and 9-11 overall with their fourth straight loss. W-DC defeated the Braves 80-78 in overtime on Jan. 12.
Verndale tops the conference standings with a 10-1 record while Sebeka is 8-3 and Pillager is 7-4. New York Mills is tied with Menahga for fifth place at 5-6.
