Clay Dusters top league in Week 4
Cole Girtz hit a perfect 50 targets as the Park Rapids Clay Dusters topped the Class 2A Conference 5 standings for the fourth week in a row.
The Clay Dusters compiled 2,467 points to finish ahead of Rushford-Peterson (1,934), Fertile-Beltrami (1,636), Redwood Valley (1,533), Eden Valley-Watkins (1,509.50), Lakes International Language Academy (946.50) and Clearbrook-Gonvick (852).
With one week to go, Park Rapids tops the conference standings with 9,666 points. Rushford-Peterson is a distant second at 7,497 while Redwood Valley (6,628.50), Eden Valley-Watkins (6,274), Fertile-Beltrami (6,123.50), Lakes International (3,344) and Clearbrook-Gonvick (3,104) round out the seven-team conference.
Girtz has the top average in the conference for males at 24.75 and is tied for second in the state. Also in the top 25 in the conference standings are Jaden Powers (fourth at 23.13), Brendan Landstrom (fifth at 22.75), Jack Hensel (tied for sixth at 22.63), Tayden George (tied for sixth at 22.63), Kaiden Walsh (tied for sixth at 22.63), Owen Wagner (ninth at 22.38), Jacob Zinniel (18th at 21.25), Isaac Hoverson (19th at 20.88), Cole Bethel (tied for 21st at 20.50) and Shawn Ohm (tied for 23rd at 20.38).
McKenzie Girtz continues to lead the conference standings for females with a 22.38 average to rank tied for seventh in the state. Megan Offerdahl is fourth in the conference with a 20.25 average.
