PERHAM – Steph Meissner threw a three-hit shutout in leading Perham to a 2-0 win over the Park Rapids fastpitch softball team in a game between Section 8AA teams on Thursday, May 19.
Meissner retired the first 14 Park Rapids batters before Allison Offerdahl singled with two outs in the fifth inning. Abby Morris singled with two outs in the sixth and Nora Cederstrom singled with two outs in the seventh for the Panthers’ other hits.
Offerdahl started and took the loss, allowing one run on five hits in three innings. Chloe Tretbar gave up one run on three hits over the final three innings.
Perham improved to 4-13 against section teams and 5-14 overall while Park Rapids improved to 1-4 in section games and 8-8 overall.
