More local high school sporting events called off

Baseball, softball, golf, and track and field events have been either postponed or canceled.

Several more high school varsity sporting events have been either postponed or canceled because of the weather.

Nevis’ home baseball games against Isle and Sebeka scheduled for April 23 were canceled and a home game against Laporte scheduled for April 25 has been postponed and rescheduled for May 2.

The Park Rapids Invitational track and field meet scheduled for April 26 has been canceled.

The Northern Pines Conference boys and girls golf meet at Walker’s Tianna Golf Course scheduled for April 26 has been postponed.

Park Rapids’ home softball doubleheader against Detroit Lakes and baseball doubleheader at Detroit Lakes scheduled for April 26 have been postponed.

Nevis’ home baseball game against Kelliher-Northome and softball game at Kelliher-Northome scheduled for April 26 have both been canceled.

Menahga's softball doubleheader against Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale scheduled for April 26 at Verndale has been postponed.

The Park Rapids Invitational girls golf tournament scheduled for May 2 and the Park Rapids Invitational boys golf tournament scheduled for May 6 at Headwaters Golf Club have both been postponed.

The Park Rapids softball team added a doubleheader against Roseau on May 7 starting at 12 noon at the Area High School field. Park Rapids will make up a Mid-State Conference doubleheader with Aitkin that was postponed on April 19 on May 9 at the Area High School field.
