Nevis senior Jade Rypkema won the state Class A girls cross country title with a winning 5K time of 17:43 at St. Olaf College in Northfield on Saturday, Nov. 5.
Rypkema, who was rated No. 2 entering the state meet, edged out No. 1-rated Amanda Overgaauw of Murray County Central. Overgaauw finished second in 17:48.
United North Central's Anjalie Aho also earned all-state honors by placing sixth in 18:54. Park Rapids' Morgan Koppelman was 59th in 20:26 and Nevis' Adeline Bjorklund was 68th in 20:40 on Nov. 5.
