Boys Golf: Park Rapids opens season at Staples-Motley Invitational

Nolan Eckmann's 83 leads the way as the Panthers card a 414 team score.

STAPLES – Nolan Eckmann carded an 11-over par 83 as the Park Rapids boys golf team opened the season by placing ninth at the Staples-Motley Invitational at The Vintage on Friday, April 29.

Quincy Squires’ 101, Conner Hanson’s 114 and Noah Phillippi’s 116 rounded out the Panthers’ 414 team score. Jack Moses (123) and Jeremiah Olson (125) also competed for Park Rapids, which placed ninth.

Albany claimed the team title with a 315 while Pequot Lakes’ Tyler Seeling earned medalist honors with a 73 on the par-72 course.
