Boys Basketball: Park Rapids 5th graders qualify for state

Park Rapids advances to the Pacesetter state tournament on June 19.

The Park Rapids 5th grade boys basketball team qualified for the Pacesetter state tournament by defeating Sauk Centre, Underwood and Lac qui Parle Valley at the Region 6 tournament at Alexandria on April 10.
New London-Spicer will host the eight-team state tournament on June 19.
Park Rapids improved to 35-2 on the season with the only losses to the Fargo Nats and the West Fargo Flight.
Members of the team are Alex Poehler, Taven Bauer, Jackson Brann, Cobe Diekmann, Zaden Kocka, Sam Rowe, Nolan Michaelson, Eli Jalbert and Hank Shepersky. Colter Diekmann (head coach) and Jack Brann (assistant coach) served as coaches.
