Baseball: Cain Mitchell throws a perfect game as Nevis shuts out Bagley

The win lifts the Tigers' record to 12-1.

NEVIS – Cain Mitchell threw a perfect game in leading the Nevis baseball team to a 10-0 five-inning win over Bagley on Thursday, May 19.

Mitchell struck out seven and was supported by a 10-hit attack as the Tigers improved to 12-1.

Singles by Mitchell and Ian Ahrendt led to two runs in the second inning before Nevis ended the game early via the 10-run rule by scoring eight times in the fourth. Singles by Ward Davis, Devan Lindow, Dawson McGee, Tyler Lindow and Ian Ahrendt along with a double by Austin Ahrendt and a triple by Eli Klimek sparked that inning.

Mitchell (2 for 3) and Ian Ahrendt (2 for 3) led Nevis’ offense.
