Kirby Hrdlicka's 23 points, eight rebounds and seven steals led Menahga, which led 27-23 at the half. Damon Howard added 14 points and eight rebounds while Luke Wurdock had six assists and five steals.

The Braves were coming off a 63-37 loss to Waubun on Dec. 3 at Bemidji's Sanford Center as Howard (13), Wurdock (7) and Hrdlicka (6) combined for 26 points.

Howard scored 15 points as the Braves were defeated by Walker-Hackensack-Akeley 68-40 Friday night at Walker.

Hrdlicka and Canton Matson led the way with five rebounds each while Owen Anderson had three steals as Menahga fell to 1-3 on the season.

W-H-A improved to 2-1.
