Perham's pitching staff limited the Park Rapids baseball team to only two runs in sweeping a Mid-State Conference doubleheader Tuesday at Park Rapids.
Three pitchers combined on a five-hitter as Perham won the first game 10-1. Three different pitchers combined on a seven-hitter as the Yellowjackets completed the sweep with a 2-1 win in the second game.
Mark Schumacher went 3 for 4 with four RBI, including a two-run homer, to spark Perham's offense in the first game.
The Panthers scored their only run in the fourth inning when Cory Odland reached on an error, advanced to third on Dan Pike's double and scored on a passed ball.
Pike went 2 for 3 while Odland took the loss.

In the second game, Levi Erickson allowed only seven hits, but one was a two-run homer to Jesse Hein in the fifth inning that proved to be the game-winner.
Nick Belfiori walked and scored on Jordan Eischens' double in the sixth to account for the Panthers' only run.
Seven different players had a hit for the Panthers, who fell to 2-8 in conference play and 3-8 overall. Perham improved to 10-0 in the conference and 11-2 overall.
