“We knew this was going to be a tough road game as Pine River is tough at home. Their two seniors (Raph and Bueckers) really played well and combined for 44 points,” said Nevis head coach Scott Kramer. “I thought we were a little stagnant on offense and the difference was that we just didn’t defend like we are capable of. It was our sixth game in 10 days and it showed as we were a little late on some closeouts and just weren’t able to get stops after we were able to come back from a double-digit deficit in the second half.”
NEVIS: Kramer 31, Warrington 13, DeWulf 10, Lindow 10, Mitchell 3.
PINE RIVER-BACKUS: Raph 26, Bueckers 18, Howard 10, Struss 9, Bristow 4, Fenstermaker 2.
