Pihlaja, Peterson spark Menahga girls past Bertha-Hewitt

Shelby Pihlaja's 18 points and seven rebounds and Alyssa Peterson's 15 points led the Menahga girls basketball team to a 59-56 Park Region Conference victory over Bertha-Hewitt last Friday night at Menahga.

     Cierra Ahlf pulled down 11 rebounds, Hannah Allebach had nine rebounds and four steals, Jen Stifter dished out four assists, and Lakyn Anderson had four steals and three assists as the Braves improved to 2-4 in the conference and 7-6 overall.

     B-H fell to 0-6 in conference play and 1-13 overall.
