Perham stays undefeated with victory over Panthers

Finn Diggins scored 26 points as Perham remained undefeated on the season with a 74-28 win over the Park Rapids boys basketball team at the Area High School gym on Monday, Feb. 3.

Charlie Rasmussen added 17 points for the Yellowjackets, who led 38-15 at the half. Perham, which was rated No. 6 in this week’s state Class AA poll, improved to 15-0. Eleven players entered the scoring column and Perham’s defense forced 34 turnovers as the Yellowjackets improved to 8-0 against Section 8AA opponents.

Nick Michaelson recorded a double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds while James Hartig had three assists and two steals for the Panthers, who fell to 1-10 in section contests and 2-17 overall.
