Vanessa Lane handled the scoring load in the first half and Kayla Miller took over offensively in the second half as Pequot Lakes posted an 82-34 Mid-State Conference win over the Park Rapids girls basketball team Tuesday night at the Century School gym.
Lane scored 19 of her 23 points in the first half while Miller scored 20 of her game-high 26 points in the second half as the Patriots improved to 2-0 in the conference and 5-1 overall. Katie White also hit double figures with 10 points for the Patriots, who led 41-16 at the half.
Charity Ridlon led the Panthers with 8 points, four assists and three steals while Megan Grimes had 6 points and 12 rebounds. The loss dropped the Panthers to 0-3 in the conference and 0-4 overall.
