Pequot Lakes forced 33 turnovers and had 12 different players contribute in the scoring column in a 77-39 Mid-State Conference victory over the Park Rapids boys basketball team Tuesday night at the Century School gym.
Hunter Larson led a balanced scoring attack for the Patriots with 21 points. Gage Westlund added 11 points while Josh Buell and Brandon Hehir scored 10 points apiece for Pequot Lakes, which led 36-16 at the half in improving to 2-1 in the conference and 5-1 overall.
Derek Porozinski’s 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists led Park Rapids. Jordan McCollum had six rebounds, Riley Massie and Damion Hanke had three assists each, and Connor Byer had two steals for the Panthers, who fell to 1-2 in the conference and 4-3 overall.
