After W-DC cut the gap to 6-4 with a pair of runs in the fifth, a single by Brand, a double by Porozinski and a single by Jon Burlingame concluded the scoring in the sixth.
Brand went 3 for 3 with three runs and three stolen bases and Massie went 3 for 4 with two runs to pace the Panthers’ 13-hit attack. Seven errors led to four unearned runs as Porozinski walked four and struck out eight for the win.
After scoring five times in the first, the Panthers needed a run in the seventh to complete the sweep.
Walks to Brand and Massie set up a three-run homer by Porozinski. After an error and single by Jordan McCollum, Damion Hanke’s grounder, walks to Matt Bade and Kenny David, and a wild pitch gave the Panthers a 5-0 lead in the first.
W-DC scored single runs in the second and third, two runs in the fifth and another run in the sixth to tie the game before Burlingame’s triple with two outs and McCollum’s single produced the winning run in the seventh.
McCollum went 4 for 4 and Burlingame went 2 for 4 as the Panthers finished with eight hits. Brand picked up the win, scattering 11 hits and allowing two earned runs in a complete-game effort.

The Lakers used three errors to score three times in the bottom of the third before stringing together five hits to score the three winning runs in the sixth.
McCollum, Porozinski and Burlingame all went 2 for 4 to lead the Panthers’ eight-hit attack. McCollum took the loss in a complete-game effort.
Detroit Lakes took advantage of five errors to score four runs in the first, two errors to score twice in the fourth and another error to score a run in the fourth to complete the sweep.
