Ashtyn Kaehler scored 17 points and Sophie Aigner added 13 points in leading Breckenridge to a 58-48 victory over the Park Rapids girls basketball team in the championship game of the Valkyrie Division of the Minnesota National Bank Classic at Pelican Rapids on Dec. 28.
Park Rapids opened the tournament with a 71-49 victory over Battle Lake while Breckenridge defeated Warroad 73-25 in the first round. Battle Lake defeated Warroad 56-25 in the third-place game on Dec. 29.
In the win over Battle Lake, Macky Warne hit three 3-pointers and scored 15 of her game-high 23 points as the Panthers built a 42-21 halftime lead. Rilee Michaelson scored all 10 of her points in the first half while Kaisa Coborn added 9 points.
Jaiden McCollum's four field goals and two more 3-pointers by Warne led the Panthers in the second half.
Coborn finished with 14 points while Lauren Minten scored 10 points to lead Battle Lake, which fell to 0-7 on the season.

In the championship game, Aigner and Kaehler combined for 18 points in the second half to rally Breckenridge to the win.
Kendra Coborn (9) and McCollum (8) combined for 17 points while Warne added a pair of 3-pointers as the Panthers led 31-27 at the half. McCollum scored 11 of Park Rapids' 17 points after the break.
McCollum finished with a double-double of 19 points and 13 rebounds to go along with five assists, three steals and three blocked shots. Kendra Coborn added 11 points while Kaisa Coborn had seven rebounds and three steals. Michaelson chipped in 11 rebounds and four steals as Park Rapids fell to 2-4 in section play and 3-5 overall.
Breckenridge improved to 4-2 against Section 8AA teams and 5-3 overall.
