The Park Rapids girls cross-country team turned in another solid performance during a rain-soaked Fergus Falls Invitational Thursday.
Lydia Lutz and Victoria Lutz tied for eighth place with a time of 15:58 over the 4,000-meter course. Morgan Olson finished 22nd in 16:35, Tiffany Deitchler was 28th in 16:58 and Kaylee Hilman-owski finished 38th with a time of 17:27 as the Panthers tallied 103 points for fourth place.
Perham claimed the team title with 51 points, Alexandria was second with 69 points and Sartell was third with 91 points. Perham is rated No. 1 in the latest Class A poll while Park Rapids moved up to the No. 5 spot. A total of 13 teams and 133 runners competed.
Jamie Piepenberg of Alexandria was first with a time of 14:42. Heidi Peterson of Sartell was second in 15:05 and Maddie McClellan of Perham was third in 15:25. Piepenberg is rated No. 1 and Peterson is ranked No. 4 in the state Class AA poll while McClellan is rated No. 1 in the state Class A poll.
In the boys race, Park Rapids finished 10th out of 13 teams with 227 points. Perham, the No. 1-rated team in Class A, took first with 46 points while Alexandria (which is rated No. 12 in the state Class AA poll) was second with 53 points.

Taylor Kimball finished 47th overall with a time of 18:40 over the 5,000-meter course to lead the Panthers. Zac Haugland finished 82nd in 19:25, Sam Goebel was 114th in 20:19, Jake Waggoner finished 118th in 20:23 and Jacob Hays was 138th in 21:10. In the team standings, Kimball was 33rd, Haugland was 41st, Goebel was 48th, Waggoner was 51st and Hays was 54th.
Zach Hodgson of Alexandria took first in 16:59. A total of 207 runners competed in the boys race.
