Julia Smith, Hope Johnson and Natalie Kinkel won both their matches as the Park Rapids girls tennis team closed out the regular season with a pair of wins against Section 8A opponents last Saturday.
The Panthers won the top three singles spots and swept the three doubles matches to defeat Roseau 6-1 and used a sweep in singles to edge Crookston 4-3 in a triangular meet at Crookston.
Smith, Johnson and Kinkel coasted to straight-set wins in singles while the Sarena Kinkel/Lindsey Girtz, Morgan Knott/Mariena Dearstyne and Drew Hilmanowski/Haley MacPherson doubles teams added straight-set wins against Roseau.
Smith, Johnson and Natalie Kinkel coasted in singles play while Tori Hilmanowski prevailed in a close match at No. 4 singles to give the Panthers the win over Crookston.
The Panthers closed out the regular season with a 14-6 record in dual meets.

Panthers finish second at TRF
Smith and Johnson went undefeated as the Panthers finished second at the Thief River Falls quadrangular on Sept. 25.
Smith went 3-0 at No. 1 singles and Johnson went 3-0 at No. 2 singles as the Panthers compiled 12 points. Thief River Falls won the meet with 17 points.
Natalie Kinkel went 2-1 at No. 3 singles while Tori Hilmanowski and Kellsey Clark combined to go 1-2 at No. 4 singles.
Girtz and Sarena Kinkel went 1-2 at No. 1 doubles, Knott and Dearstyne went 1-2 at No. 2 doubles, and Drew Hilmanowski and MacPherson went 1-2 at No. 3 doubles.
