Katie Kristofferson and Mariena Dearstyne finished in the top five spots in leading the Park Rapids girls golf team to a runner-up finish at last Wednesday's Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Invitational at Tianna Country Club.
Kristofferson shot a 93 for third place and Dearstyne carded a 97 for fourth place as the Panthers shot a season best 403 to trail Fosston's 376 in this 10-team meet.
Hannah Williams' 101 and Katie Walsh's 112 rounded out the Panthers' team score.
Allyson Snyder's 102, McKenzie Harris' 107, Kara Rich's 118 and Olivia Toft's 128 led Nevis to fourth place with a 445.
United North Central finished fifth with a 472 behind Tasha Maninga's 101, Ally Ohlgren's 111, Jenny Jolkinen's 130 and Dana Niska's 130.

Amy Mireault shot an 88 to earn medalist honors and lead Fosston to the team title.
The Panthers were scheduled to compete in Saturday's Grand Rapids Invitational, but that meet was canceled because of the weather conditions.
