Soaring Eagle Cross-Country Ski Trails are hosting open houses from 1-3:30 p.m. on Sundays in January and February, weather permitting. Boots, skis, poles and instruction are all provided free of charge by Itascatur Outdoor Activity Club volunteers.

Skiers over the age of 16 do need a Minnesota ski pass, which can be obtained from the Minnesota DNR or anywhere fishing licenses can be purchased.

Soaring Eagle Cross-Country Ski Trails are located at 25467 U.S. Hwy. 71, eight miles north of Park Rapids, and across from the Eagle View Golf Course.

The Itascatur Outdoor Activity Club built and continues to maintain the trails for winter enjoyment by the public. It is a Minnesota grant-in-aid trail. The ski center consists of 10 km of marked and groomed trails through balsam pines and spruce. All trails are groomed classical and skate and are designed for beginner to expert skiers.
