Firearms safety class offered June 24-25 in Park Rapids

Students must register by June 23 by calling Russ Johnsrud at 732-8411.

Individuals who will be 11 years old by June 23 are invited to enroll in the Minnesota Firearm Safety course, held at the environmental education building at the fairgrounds in Park Rapids.

The class runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday, June 24 and June 25.

Students must register by June 23 by calling Russ Johnsrud at 732-8411.

There is no maximum age limit for participants.

Topics covered include safe firearm handling, firearm care, hunter ethics and responsibility, wildlife management, field and range testing, along with other pertinent information.
