New York Mills and Verndale handed the Menahga girls basketball team a pair of Park Region Conference losses.
New York Mills defeated the Braves 70-48 on Jan. 22 and Verndale handed the Braves a 49-37 loss last Tuesday night.
Those two losses dropped the Braves to 2-6 in the conference and 7-9 overall.

Shelby Pihlaja and Alyssa Peterson scored 10 points apiece in leading the Braves in the loss to New York Mills.
New York Mills is now 7-2 in the conference and 11-4 overall.

Verndale defeats Braves
Shania Glenz scored 19 points and Sarah Moenkedick added 16 points in leading Verndale past the Braves.

Hannah Allebach scored 10 points while Ahlf and Pihlaja had six rebounds each. Pihlaja also had three assists and joined Ahlf and Anderson with two steals each.
Verndale is now 6-3 in the conference and 10-4 overall.
