The Nevis baseball team improved to 6-0 on the season with wins over Hill City/Northland on April 27 and Walker-Hackensack-Akeley on Thursday, April 29.
Derek Lindow and Tyler Lindow combined on a no-hitter in Nevis’ 4-0 win over Hill City/Northland. Derek Lindow walked four and struck out 13 in six innings while Tyler Lindow struck out a batter in the seventh and had an RBI single. Reese Kline went 1 for 3 with an RBI while Ethan Klimek walked twice and scored two runs as Nevis finished with four hits.
“This was our first big test of the season and the boys produced,” said Nevis head coach Larry Franck. “The team executed at the right moments of the game.”
A 12-hit attack led the Tigers to a 24-1 win in five innings over Walker-Hackensack-Akeley. Dan Aman went 3 for 5 with three runs and two RBI and picked up the win by allowing two hits and an unearned run with four strikeouts over three innings. Ward Davis gave up one hit and struck out five in two innings of work while going 1 for 3 with three RBI. Cain Mitchell, Tyler Lindow, Ethan Klimek and Eli Klimek scored three runs each.
