United North Central's Frank Moren shot an 89 to lead the local golfers at Monday's Mid-Minnesota Conference Championship at The Legacy.
Park Rapids had three golfers qualify for the tournament. Ed Carlson shot a 91, Dustin Bethel carded a 95 and Ian Johnson fired a 97.
UNC's Lane Hillukka shot a 97 and Nevis' Kyle Magnuson shot a 99 to round out the list of area qualifiers.
Staples-Motley captured the conference title with a 399 team score and 25.5 points. Pequot Lakes was second with a 435 and 22 points while Wadena-Deer Creek (444 for 12.5 points) and Crosby-Ironton (468 for 10 points) followed. Pequot Lakes' Levi Espeseth earned medalist honors with a 74.
