Jordan McCollum threw a five-hit complete game and Derek Porozinski had three hits in leading the Park Rapids baseball team to an 11-1 six-inning victory over Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton at Concordia College Thursday.
A double by Josh Severtson and an RBI single by Drew Bade gave the Panthers a 1-0 lead in the first before Severtson singled, stole second and scored on Rilee Johnson’s RBI single in the third for a 2-0 lead.
Jordan McCollum’s RBI double and an error led to two more runs in the fourth before a single by Johnson and a double by Porozinski set up a two-run single by Tyler McCollum in the fifth for a 6-0 lead.
Singles by Chase Brand and Bade and a two-run single by Porozinski sparked a five-run sixth inning as the Panthers won their ninth game in a row.
Jordan McCollum, Severtson, Bade, Johnson and Tyler McCollum added two hits apiece as the Panthers finished with 13 hits.

The win lifted Park Rapids to 7-2 against Section 8AA opponents and 14-2 overall while D-G-F fell to 6-2 in the section and 9-3 overall.

Panthers defeat Prowlers
An 11-hit attack led the Panthers to a 9-3 section win over Thief River Falls last Tuesday.
Singles by Johnson, Porozinski and Brad Eischens gave the Panthers a 2-1 lead in the second before singles by Riley Massie and Jordan McCollum and RBI doubles by Severtson and Bade provided a 6-3 lead in the fourth.
Severtson’s two-run double in the fifth and doubles by Jon Burlingame and Eischens in the sixth concluded the scoring.
Severtson went 2 for 4 with three RBI and Eischens went 2 for 2 with two RBI to lead the Panthers’ offense. Tyler McCollum picked up the win.

Panthers sweep W-DC
The Panthers improved to 9-1 in Mid-State Conference play by sweeping Wadena-Deer Creek by scores of 7-6 and 12-2 in five innings on May 9.
