Lueck, Beltz spark Pequot Lakes to conference win over Panthers

Emily Lueck scored 24 points and Kylie Beltz added 19 points in leading Pequot Lakes to an 81-35 Mid-State Conference girls basketball victory over Park Rapids Tuesday night at Pequot Lakes.

Emily Lueck (16), Mattie Lueck (10) and Beltz (9) combined for 35 points as the Patriots led 47-16 at the half. Ashley Domino, Grace Bateman and Anna Grimes had two field goals each for the Panthers in the first half.

CarsonLee Christenson's three jumpers, Bateman's two 3-pointers, Domino's two inside baskets and a jumper by Alyssa Carlson led Park Rapids in the second half.

Bateman tied her career high with 11 points as the Panthers fell to 0-8 in the conference and 0-17 overall.

Pequot Lakes, which is rated No. 9 in this week's state Class AA poll, improved to 6-1 in conference play and 17-1 overall.
