Leitner's six goals lead Bemidji to win

Lexi Leitner scored six goals in leading Bemidji to a 14-0 win over the Park Rapids-Menahga-Nevis-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley girls hockey team at the Bemidji Community Arena on Dec. 13.

Lexi Leitner scored six goals in leading Bemidji to a 14-0 win over the Park Rapids-Menahga-Nevis-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley girls hockey team at the Bemidji Community Arena on Dec. 13.

Leitner recorded a hat trick in the first period as Bemidji jumped out to a 6-0 lead. Gracie Fisher scored twice and Molly Defatte added a goal in the opening period.

Bemidji scored seven more goals in the second period as Leitner scored twice. Eva Laituri, Kendra Wilberg, Ariyah Thomas, Maddie Hanson and Bella Webb also scored goals in the middle period.

Leitner concluded the scoring with the game's lone goal in the third period as Bemidji finished with a 60-5 advantage in shots on goal.

Goalie Kylee Pachel made 46 saves as the Panthers fell to 0-11 on the season by being shut out for the fourth time. Bemidji improved to 3-7.
