Late rally sparks Braves' 62-59 win over Frazee

The Hornets held a 50-37 lead with 7:35 to play before a 3-pointer by Gavin Hillukka and a layup by Jonah Howard cut the gap to 52-42.

After a layup off a steal by Cole Fleisher made it 54-42, the Braves went on an 18-3 run to take the lead. Two layups by Charlie Hodge, a three-point play by Tristan Aho off a steal, two free throws and a jumper by Hillukka, and a 3-pointer by Wade Berttunen made it 57-56 with 2:18 remaining. Hodge's layup gave Menahga a 58-57 lead at the 1:03 mark before two free throws by Hillukka extended the lead to 60-57 with :26 remaining.

Reid Eckert hit a jumper as Frazee trailed 60-59, but Hillukka's two free throws with 13 seconds remaining sealed the win.

Hillukka's 16 points and three steals led a balanced attack for the Braves. Berttunen and Hodge scored 13 points each while Aho finished with 10 points. Howard hauled down nine rebounds, Aho had seven rebounds and Zach Floyd dished out four assists as Menahga improved to 2-3.

Braden Fleisher (17), Vincent Helmers (13) and Jack Courneya (10) scored in double figures for the Hornets, who fell to 1-3 on the season.
