Katie Kristofferson tuned up for the upcoming section tournaments by carding the best round of her career Thursday.
The Park Rapids junior shot an 81 to claim medalist honors at the Northern Pines Invitational at Long Bow Golf Course, which is the site of the Section 8AA tournament on June 2.
Mariena Dearstyne's 100, Tonya Melott's 102 and Katie Walsh's 106 led the Panthers to a 389 team score for runner-up honors in this nine-team meet.
Fosston claimed the team title with a 377 while Nevis was third with a 457. McKenzie Harris' 102, Olivia Toft's 116, Kara Rich's 119 and Allyson Snyder's 120 led the Tigers.

Kristofferson leads PR at Blueberry
Kristofferson's 84 led the Panthers to a seventh-place finish at last Tuesday's United North Central Invitational at Blueberry Pines.

Valli Florack's 132, Taylor Ondracek's 141 and Emily Creager's 142 rounded out the Panthers' 499 team score.
United North Central finished sixth with a 427 behind Tasha Maninga's 95, Heather Brostrom's 107, Jenny Jolkinen's 112 and Ally Ohlgren's 113.
Emily Israelson shot a 76 to earn medalist honors and lead Staples-Motley to the team title with a 348.
