Gymnasts continue to improve, receive a 112.85 at Moorhead

     The Park Rapids-Nevis gymnastics team continues to show improvement.

     Led by season highs in three events, the Panthers compiled a season high of 112.85 to place eighth at last Saturday’s Moorhead Invitational.

     The Panthers tallied a season high of 32.50 in vault behind Olivia Fischer’s 8.45, Brianna Nelson’s 8.20, Shelby Leckner’s 8.15 and Rachel Konshok’s 7.70.

     In floor exercise, Nelson’s 8.25, Katie Eischens’ 8.00, Fischer’s 7.60 and Nicole Eischens’ 6.90 led to a season best of 30.75.

     The Panthers also hit a new season high on uneven parallel bars with a 23.10 behind Fischer’s 6.90, Kylee Roy’s 6.20, Nelson’s 5.10 and Lindsey Girtz’s 4.90.

     Park Rapids added a 26.50 on balance beam as Katie Eischens’ 7.70, Fischer’s 7.40, Nelson’s 6.40 and Girtz’s 5.00 led the way.

     Fischer tallied a 30.35 while Nelson had a 27.95 in all-around.

     Rogers claimed the team title with a 134.65. Posting individual bests were Rogers’ Katelyn Hagel in vault (9.30), Moorhead’s Maren Krugler on bars (9.10), Rogers’ Caitlyn Reeves on beam (9.10) and Fargo’s Quincee Simonson in floor (9.05). Krugler claimed the all-around title with a 35.15.
