The Detroit News is reporting that Grand Forks native Brooks Bollinger has signed with the Detroit Lions.
Lions quarterback Drew Stanton suffered an injury to his left knee during Saturday's game against the Indianapolis Colts.
Bollinger, a sixth-round draft pick of the New York Jets in 2003, spent last season with the Cowboys and has played with the Jets and Vikings.
According to the Detroit News, Stanton is visiting Dr. James Andrews in Birmingham, Ala., Tuesday and was scheduled to undergo an arthroscopic procedure.
