Johnson, Maninga earn all-conference honors

Chloe Johnson earned all-conference honors and Mady Maninga received all-conference honorable mention honors as the Park Rapids girls golf team tied for third place at the Mid-State Conference tournament on Monday, May 13.

Johnson carded an 88 and Maninga followed with a 92 as the Panthers carded a 378 to tie Staples-Motley at The Vintage at Staples. Madison Johnson's 94 and Kinley Nordin's 104 rounded out Park Rapids' team score. Detroit Lakes claimed the conference title with a 318 while Pequot Lakes was second in this five-team meet with a 372.

Anna Cihak earned medalist honors with a 74 on the par-72 course while teammates McKenna Mallow (75) and Shelby Busker (76) followed to give Detroit Lakes the conference title for the 11th year in a row. Staples-Motley's Bo Erholtz (83) and Adriana Dickey (84) and Pequot Lakes' Lachlan Larson (90) also received all-conference honors.

Hannah Boraas carded a 79 to earn medalist honors and lead Alexandria to the team title at the Staples-Motley Invitational at The Vintage on Saturday, May 11.

Alexandria topped the 13-team field with a 355, five strokes ahead of Bemidji. Park Rapids finished ninth with a 407 with Chloe Johnson's 95 leading the way. Maninga's 101, Madison Johnson's 102 and Nordin's 109 rounded out the Panthers' team score.
