There will be a fall rules meeting for Park Rapids athletes and their parents on Wednesday, Aug. 1, starting at 6 p.m. in the Area High School Auditorium. Athletes who are planning on competing in a fall sport are strongly encouraged to attend this meet.

Athletes who are planning to participate in a fall sport and are unable to attend this meeting must watch the rules video before they will be allowed to practice. All athletes should be registered to participate in a fall sport at least one week prior to the start of the season. Athletes are also reminded to have up-to-date physicals on file at the high school office. Physicals must be renewed every three years.

No student-athlete will be allowed to participate in practices until all paperwork is complete and all fees have been paid.

New this year is that all registration for athletics can be done online through Affinety. The link can be found at the school website ( www.parkrapidsk12.mn.us ). Click on the "QuickLinks" tab and then click the tab under "Athletics/Activities Registration" to access the Affinety page. Parents can complete all MSHSL forms, find activity documents and pay fees at this site beginning Aug. 1.

Practices for all fall sports begin Monday, Aug. 13.
