Pelican Rapids took advantage of six errors to hand the Park Rapids baseball team a 10-7 loss Tuesday.
After the Vikings took a 2-0 lead in the first, the Panthers tied the game in the bottom of the inning on a single and stolen base by Chase Brand, an RBI double by Jordan McCollum, a single by Derek Porozinski and a single by Jon Burlingame.
Pelican Rapids scored three times in the second for a 5-2 lead and added two more runs in the fourth for a 7-2 advantage.
Damion Hanke reached on an error and scored on singles by Matt Bade and Connor Byer as the Panthers cut the gap to 7-3 in the bottom of the fourth before making it 7-6 in the fifth on doubles by Porozinski and Burlingame, a walk by Sam Eystad, a single by Hanke and a sacrifice fly by Byer.
Pelican Rapids matched those three runs in the sixth for a 10-6 advantage before the Panthers concluded the scoring in the seventh when Bade was hit by a pitch and scored on two errors.

Porozinski went 4 for 5, Burlingame went 3 for 3, and Brand and Byer contributed two hits apiece to pace the Panthers’ 15-hit attack. Ben Garcelon started and took the loss as the Panthers fell to 2-2 on the season.
