Four different players scored goals and goalie Mckenzie Whalen stopped all 20 shots she faced as East Grand Forks skated to a 4-0 Section 8A win over the Park Rapids-Menahga-Nevis-Walker-Hackensack-Akeley girls hockey team Tuesday night at the East Grand Forks Civic Center.

Goals by Lexie Estad and Nicole Schlenk gave East Grand Forks a 2-0 lead after the first period before a power-play goal by Ashley Ayotte and a goal by Kylie Stauss concluded the scoring in the second period.

The Green Wave held a 45-20 advantage in shots to improve to 6-1-2 in section games and 11-6-4 overall. EGF, which is rated No. 9 in this week's state Class A poll, defeated the Panthers 5-2 earlier this season.

Goalie Julia Smith finished with 41 saves for the Panthers, who fell to 2-6-1 against section teams and 8-14-1 overall. Park Rapids, which has lost five games in a row, was shut out for the third time in the last four games.
