Defense dictates D-G-F's win over Panthers

The Rebels forced 39 turnovers in a 70-28 victory over the Park Rapids boys basketball team.

Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton’s defense forced 39 turnovers in a 70-28 victory over the Park Rapids boys basketball team in a game between Section 8AA teams at the Century School gym on Friday, Jan. 3.

Nick Michaelson (8) and James Hartig (5) combined for 13 points for the Panthers, who trailed 45-14 at the half. Michaelson and Kolby Brandt had seven rebounds each while Mason Yliniemi had five rebounds. Hartig, Jeff Haas and Hunter Brandt had two steals each as Park Rapids fell to 0-5 against section teams and 1-8 overall.

The win lifted the Rebels to 2-2 in section play and 5-3 overall.
