Damon Howard, Al Pietila and Kirby Hrdlicka scored in double figures as the Menahga boys basketball team defeated Sebeka 72-63 in a Park Region Conference game Thursday night at Sebeka.
Howard scored 21 points and had seven rebounds and three assists, Pietila scored 17 points, and Hrdlicka had 16 points and eight rebounds as the Braves handed Sebeka its first loss in conference play. Luke Wurdock chipped in 9 points, six assists and three steals for the Braves, who led 35-25 at the half. The win lifted Menahga to 1-2 in conference play and 4-6 overall. The Braves are 1-3 against Section 5A opponents.
James Clark scored 26 points and Wyatt Meech added 10 points as the Trojans fell to 3-1 in the conference, 3-3 in section games and 6-4 overall.
