The weather was cold but the fishing was hot Saturday afternoon on Fish Hook Lake.
Parades of anglers brought up their northerns, rock bass and perch to be weighed at the 15th annual Park Rapids American Legion Community Fishing Contest.
Tayden George of Park Rapids was one such angler. A veteran fisherman at the tender age of 10, he made continuous trips to the weigh station from his fishing hole.
Hundreds turned out for the annual event even though temperatures in Park Rapids were in the single digits with below zero wind chills.
