Six members of the Park Rapids fastpitch softball team received Mid-State Conference honors in a vote by the conference coaches.
Seniors Shailyn Pachel and Ellie Ulvin, junior Abby Morris, and sophomores Tori Weaver and Chloe Tretbar earned all-conference honors while sophomore Mickey Clark received all-conference honorable mention honors.
All six started all 10 conference games as the Panthers finished third in the Mid-State standings with a 6-4 record. Pequot Lakes won the conference title by going 10-0 while Aitkin was second with an 8-2 record. Crosby-Ironton (4-6), Detroit Lakes (2-9) and Staples-Motley (0-10) followed. Park Rapids swept doubleheaders against S-M (14-4 and 25-0), C-I (15-5 and 18-4) and Detroit Lakes (15-3 and 17-1) while dropping doubleheaders to Aitkin (11-6 and 7-6) and Pequot Lakes (8-4 and 17-3).
Pachel batted .406 (13 for 32) with four doubles, one triple, five home runs, 15 runs, 19 RBI and five stolen bases as the starting catcher in those 10 conference games.
Ulvin played center field and hit .438 (14 for 32) with a triple, 16 runs scored, eight RBI and seven stolen bases.
Morris, the starting shortstop, hit .514 (19 for 37) with six doubles, three homers, 19 runs, 17 RBI and six steals.
Weaver started at third base and had a .472 batting average (17 for 36) with five doubles, two homers, 13 runs, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases.
Tretbar went 4-2 in seven appearances on the mound, allowing 33 runs (10 earned) on 24 hits and 31 walks with 36 strikeouts for a 2.36 ERA in 29 ⅔ innings. At the plate, Tretbar had a .452 average (14 for 31) with four doubles, four homers, four stolen bases, 10 runs and 16 RBI.
Clark was the starter at second base and batted .394 (13 for 33) with a triple, a homer, 15 runs scored, 10 RBI and six stolen bases.
